To serve as a guiding body for citizens’ support of projects that will build and maintain the ecological health and educational activities of the Candelaria Nature Preserve, in accordance with the Resource Management Plan (RMP) of 2021 & in collaboration with the City of Albuquerque’s Open Space Division.
Friends of CNP members know what an important place the Candelaria Nature Preserve is and how this treasure in the heart of Albuquerque will distinguish our city as a place that respects and nurtures biological diversity and ecological health for public benefit, as the RMP is implemented.
Vision
We envision a biologically diverse and ecologically resilient Candelaria Nature Preserve that is community-supported and protected for present and future generations by an active Friends Group, in accordance with the Resource Management Plan.
